For your interior painting project to be successful we recommend these five simple steps which also brings a fast and neat job and better results as far as quality and it does not affect the comfort of living space.
Step 1
SET UP - Remove decorative assets, electrical cover plates, hardware, light fixture, and trim prior to preparing surfaces for finishing, move large furniture to the center of the room and protect it with plastic, cover floors and others areas that do not require painting with drop cloths.
Step 2
PREPARATION - Correct defects on ceilings, walls and trims patching them with filler compound or wood filler to get a smooth surface. Remove or repair existing coating that exhibit surface defects, seal with shellac, oil or latex. Prime areas that may bleed through surface finishes, fill nail holes and cracks after sealer has dried and before any painting goes on surfaces wipe off dust and grit to ensure better adhesion of paint.
Step 3
APPLICATION - Apply products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, using one or two coats of paint to ensure coverage and finish color. Paint is applied with brush, roller or sprayer to get a better finish and light sand between coats to achieve required finish, using clean-cut lines between ceiling, walls and trims.
Step 4
CLEAN UP - Reinstall electrical cover plates, hardware, light fixture, trim, and fittings removed prior to starting. Remove all job-related equipment and supplies, thoroughly clean floors and leave the site in a clean condition, move back to original position all furniture and other items to the satisfaction of the Owner.
Step 5
FINAL INSPECTION - Project manager performs a walk-through with customer to certify that all areas are properly painted and all utilities are functioning. If a touch-up is required it will be done immediately.
At the completion of work, for the Owner's maintenance purposes, one half gallon can of paint in each color used, will be furnished, and two years workmanship warranty will be provided.
